This position has comprehensive responsibility for all functional areas of multiple plant locations including the efficient operation of production maintenance, personnel, safety, shipping & receiving, sanitation, scheduling, quality and process improvement. The role provides guidance, leadership and coaching to Plant Managers and support groups across the division. It is required to successfully fill in when necessary in the absence of a Plant Manager. The Managing Director Operations will develop and lead problem resolution, providing optimal solutions for daily operations, and address, correct and hold accountable plants that are underperforming. The role also involves effectively motivating the leadership team to reach short and long-term goals, new plant manager onboarding and training, identifying and delivering development opportunities for plant management, identifying needs, establishing and executing training for managers focusing plant manager level, overseeing special projects for the Business Unit, and being responsible for identifying key performers for succession planning and assisting to develop the pipeline.
