About The Position

The Managing Director, Fundraising Strategy & Operations is sought to lead the strategy, systems, and operational infrastructure that powers fundraising performance across the organization. This role reports to the VP, Foundations & Resource Development Operations and serves as a central leader across Resource Development. The individual will align teams to a unified strategy, build scalable processes, and ensure consistent performance through strong data, systems, and execution. This is a highly visible role that partners closely with senior leadership to translate strategy into action and enable enterprise-wide revenue growth. This position is critical for Boys & Girls Clubs of America to scale its impact by building an operating model that enables fundraising teams to perform at their best, bringing clarity to pipeline health, forecasting, and performance. The work will directly influence revenue outcomes, strengthen decision-making, and position the organization for sustained growth.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in strategy, operations, business transformation, or related fields
  • Proven experience leading leaders and influencing across complex, matrixed organizations
  • Strategic Thinking & Enterprise Alignment: Connects enterprise strategy to execution, aligning multiple functions around shared priorities and outcomes
  • Operational Excellence & Process Design: Designs scalable processes and operating models that improve efficiency, consistency, and performance
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Translates complex data into actionable insights that inform strategy and drive measurable outcomes
  • Financial Acumen & Forecasting: Leads budgeting, forecasting, and revenue analysis to guide decision-making and resource allocation
  • Systems & Digital Fluency: Leverages CRM platforms and data ecosystems to enable performance, visibility, and scalability
  • Stakeholder Influence & Executive Presence: Builds trust and influences senior leaders, board members, and cross-functional partners
  • People Leadership & Team Development: Develops high-performing teams, sets clear expectations, and fosters accountability and growth
  • Change Leadership & Adaptability: Navigates ambiguity and leads teams through change with clarity and focus

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and execution of Resource Development’s operating model, ensuring alignment across Foundations, Individual Giving, and Corporate Partnerships
  • Oversee fundraising systems, data infrastructure, and CRM strategy to drive efficiency and frontline effectiveness
  • Drive budgeting, forecasting, and revenue performance tracking in partnership with Finance and External Relations Operations
  • Build and scale a modern prospect research and pipeline strategy, leveraging data and predictive insights
  • Establish portfolio management standards and performance analytics to improve visibility into revenue, risks, and opportunities
  • Deliver executive-level reporting, dashboards, and board materials that inform strategic decisions
  • Optimize processes, policies, and workflows to improve consistency and operational effectiveness
  • Lead and develop a high-performing Strategy & Operations team while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
