About The Position

This position has comprehensive responsibility for all functional areas of multiple plant locations, including the efficient operation of production maintenance, personnel, safety, shipping & receiving, sanitation, scheduling, quality, and process improvement. The role provides guidance, leadership, and coaching to Plant Managers and support groups across the division, and is required to successfully fill in when necessary in the absence of a Plant Manager. Key aspects include developing and leading problem resolution, providing optimal solutions for daily operations, addressing and holding accountable underperforming plants, motivating leadership teams to reach short and long-term goals, and overseeing new plant manager onboarding and training. Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • 12 plus years of manufacturing operations experience
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Managing several groups of personnel who perform diverse tasks and activities in several locations
  • Extensive travel with temporary relocation may be required
  • Strong and effective leadership characteristics, collaborating and influencing multiple functions and teams
  • Demonstrates formal and informal authority and influence

Responsibilities

  • Motivating managers to provide guidance and programs to enhance the skill level of their team members
  • Resolving issues related to the quality of incoming and outgoing goods
  • Reviewing cost and performance data to help determine areas in need of improvement
  • Contributing and analyzing efficiency reports and obtaining approval and executing all capital improvements for the designated facilities
  • Initiating discussion and implementation of improvement in all phases of production
  • Assisting in identifying evaluating and correcting problems
  • Safety food safety and food quality
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Provides guidance, leadership and coaching to Plant Managers and support groups across the division
  • Required to successfully fill in when necessary in the absence of a Plant Manager
  • Develop and lead problem resolution and providing optimal solutions for daily operations
