About The Position

As a Managing Counsel, you will provide legal support to Fiserv’s Merchant Solutions division's sales and business teams. This support will involve drafting and negotiating commercial agreements with clients and other strategic partners; providing guidance to sales, product, and technology leaders on legal matters; and collaborating closely with company specialists regarding products, operations, technology, data privacy, security, and regulatory matters.

Requirements

8+ years of general transactional legal experience.
License to practice law in at least one US jurisdiction and in good standing, with ability to obtain any additional required licensure promptly upon hire.
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school, or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience.
Must currently possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization to be considered for this role. Individuals with temporary visas including, but not limited to, F-1 (OPT, CPT, STEM), H-1B, H-2, or TN, or any candidate requiring sponsorship, now or in the future, will not be considered for this role.

Responsibilities

Draft, review and negotiate complex client, partner and other commercial agreements.
Provide counsel on new product development and strategic initiatives.
Actively engage with subject matter specialists regarding finance, audit, tax, IT, regulatory, privacy and technology matters that affect the business division.
Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and applicable laws and regulations affecting the operations of the Merchant Solutions division.
Develop and maintain forms of contracts and other legal documentation.
