About The Position

Berkeley Research Group is building a Financial Institution Operations & Technology practice, initially focused on Commercial and Consumer Banking. The practice combines banking expertise, technology, and AI-enabled delivery to help financial institutions achieve measurable operational improvements. Small, multidisciplinary pods work closely with clients and share responsibility from discovery through implementation. The role offers an opportunity to help build the practice by delivering client results, developing reusable offerings, recruiting talent, and improving delivery methods. BRG is hiring at either the Managing Consultant or Senior Managing Consultant level. This is a senior, hands-on business and technology analysis delivery role. The consultant connects client objectives and operational realities with the requirements, data, and workflows needed to build effective solutions. They lead complex workstreams from discovery and requirements through development, testing, implementation, and adoption, partnering with the pod leader on priorities and outcomes and with the technical lead on feasibility and design. The role is not the pod’s primary software engineer or the overall engagement lead. The position works directly with client business and technology teams and pod colleagues. It owns the quality and traceability of business analysis while contributing to shared delivery outcomes. Consultants use approved AI tools responsibly, validate outputs, and protect client information. They also coach colleagues and contribute reusable assets, proposals, offerings, recruiting, and thought leadership as the practice grows. Preferred locations are New York, Chicago, Washington, D.C., Dallas, and Boston; strong candidates in other locations may be considered case by case. Travel to client sites is required as needed. Candidates must be able to verify legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship. Managing Consultant salary range: $115,000–$160,000. Senior Managing Consultant salary range: $150,000–$175,000. Job title and level will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
