Founded in 2004, BME Strategies is a Massachusetts-based consulting firm specializing in the design, implementation, and evaluation of public health programs for local, regional, and state government partners. Our work supports evidence-based, community-driven solutions that strengthen public health systems and advance equity across the communities we serve. At BME, our clients are on the front lines of Public Health. Priorities may shift but our commitment to supporting our partners does not. We take pride in having multi-year, multi-project engagements, often working closely as an extension of their staff. Our success comes from our shared values: a bias toward action; optimistically collaborative; willingness to navigate ambiguity; minimal ego - no job is too small or big; pursuing the equitable solution; always learning, and; committed to quality at every stage. The Managing Consultant, MEQI Strategic Partnerships is a new, senior-level, dedicated business development role supporting BME's Monitoring, Evaluation and Quality Improvement (MEQI) practice, which delivers participatory local evidence, evidence at scale, continuous improvement, and data systems support to public health clients. This role will support pipeline development relevant to adjacent practice areas including clinical care access data and AI-assisted analytics. The role is managed by the MEQI Practice Area Lead, and works in close partnership with MEQI staff. Additionally, this role collaborates closely with MEQI pillar leadership and technical teams to transform client insights into well-scoped, deliverable solutions. Because BME's growth model relies on relationship-driven trust acceleration, this position requires a dedicated business development capacity combined with a strong technical understanding. The primary market focus for this role spans public health data modernization, health information exchange (HIE), AI-assisted public health analytics, and RHTP-aligned technology and performance measurement. The right candidate brings an established network of in-state and provider health data systems and a track record of translating deep knowledge of client priorities in this space into sustained relationships and new business. This role is an excellent fit for someone whose career has moved across public health and health IT: a former state health IT director, a health system informatics leader, a consultant who has spent years at the intersection of data modernization and public health measurement. The ideal candidate possesses the strategic instinct to rapidly analyze conferences, procurement landscapes, and partner discussions, identifying clear opportunities where BME can effectively address client needs. By cultivating deep and consistent relationships, they ensure clients have full confidence in BME long before formal opportunities arise.
