About The Position

EY-Parthenon is seeking a Manager for their Corporate Finance - Business Valuation team. This role involves providing clients with valuation advice for assets and liabilities, helping decision-makers with resource allocation, and reviewing complex financial instruments to determine the value of businesses, intellectual property, intangibles, and other assets. The Manager will perform intangible business valuations for management planning, mergers and acquisitions, and financial reporting. They will also serve as a member of a cross-functional engagement team, stay updated on business and economic developments, utilize technology for service enhancement, and engage in report generation and financial modeling. Key aspects of the role include managing and motivating teams, consistently delivering quality client services, demonstrating technical capabilities, maintaining client relationships, and cultivating business development opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate related work experience. Alternatively, will accept a Master's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field and 3 years of related work experience.
  • 3 years of experience with at least 1 or a combination of the following: Performing business or intangible asset valuations for financial reporting, including experience in one or combination of any of the following: Purchase Price Allocations, goodwill impairment testing, and/or other; Tax reporting (legal entity valuation) utilizing the Income, Market, or Cost approaches; OR Corporate finance work experience, including all of the following: Capital allocation diagnostics, analyses, and advice; Quantifying the value impact of various strategic alternatives; Performing strategic portfolio reviews; and Assisting clients with forecasting and scenario planning.
  • 3 years of experience working in one or a combination of any of the following: Business valuation firm or practice; Venture capital, investment banking, commercial banking, financial research, or national valuation firm; and/or A corporate finance role for an organization.
  • 2 years of experience working on business valuation mergers and acquisitions; conducting valuations for financial reporting; financial modeling including building models from scratch in MS Excel and related software.
  • 2 years of combined experience working with external and/or internal clients on business valuation engagements.
  • 1 year of experience managing engagements and engagement related budgets; and leading teams, including projects and engagement leadership, goal setting, and performance reviews.
  • Requires domestic and regional travel up to 20% to serve client needs.
