About The Position

We are seeking a Manager Youth Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team. This role observes interactions and provides daily supervision to staff and clients, ensuring the team members are following routines, policies, and treatment plans. Provides support to team members and clients with the goal of maintaining a safe therapeutic environment. This role will have direct reports and reports to the Program Manager.

Requirements

3-5 years of experience working with children
High school diploma, required.
At least 21 years of age
Pass background check, physical, and drug screening
A valid driver’s license in the state you reside in
Proof of current vehicle insurance
Reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in social services, child development, or criminal justice, preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain emotional and physical safety and crisis management for the client.
Observe interactions and provide daily supervision of the Youth Behavioral Health Specialists.
Ensure team members are following routines, policies, and treatment plans.
Oversee the planning and coordination of the milieu program.
Provide coaching, training, and performance management to assigned team members per department and agency standards.
Ensure that all team members complete and submit the proper documentation as required per agency policy.
Provide customer service to client guardians and support workers.
Serve as a liaison between the cottage/dorm/unit and parents/guardians of the clients.
May oversee the administration of client medications.
Determine appropriate social activities for clients.
