About The Position

MACOM is seeking a Fab Operations Manager to provide leadership, direction, and hands-on problem solving in wafer fabrication operations. The manager will drive process improvements, manage the team, and achieve short- and long-term objectives. The position is based in Lowell, Massachusetts, and works a compressed D-shift schedule: every other Wednesday and every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 10 or more years of experience, or a master’s degree with 5 years of related experience in a highly regulated industry.
• At least 4 years of experience managing people.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct daily department management and set departmental priorities.
• Proven track record in continuous improvement and problem-solving.
• Effective communication and interaction with direct reports, support teams, and the leadership team.
• Ability to coach direct reports and provide constructive performance management.
• Lean Six Sigma operations experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct and lead a team in daily operations to meet safety, productivity, quality, delivery, and inventory objectives while driving continuous improvement and achieving KPI goals.
• Create and monitor operations strategic initiatives by identifying operational breakthroughs, developing action plans, and aligning resources to meet targets.
• Develop and monitor monthly operating budgets and capital projects.
• Ensure employees understand and comply with standard work policies defined in the Quality Management System.
• Identify and solve complex operational and organizational problems, leveraging resources within or outside the department to ensure manufacturing capacity can meet customer commitments.
• Lead the operations team through effective communication and engagement activities as part of the Lowell Leadership Team.
