About The Position

Modal Power is recruiting for a Manager, Valuations in our New York office. The role represents an exciting opportunity to join a growing and dynamic global team. Reporting to the Vice President, Finance, the role is part of a collaborative team of professionals focused on corporate finance activities initiatives. The Manager, Valuations will be responsible for preparing and reviewing portfolio and project valuations, maintaining the corporate model, and supporting business planning and strategic initiatives. The Manager will collaborate closely with key finance team members and other teams and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in investment banking, Big 4 valuations, corporate finance, or transaction advisory, ideally within renewable energy, infrastructure, or power.
  • Working knowledge of valuation methodologies and financial statement fundamentals, with familiarity with the solar market.
  • Strong analytical skills in valuation, budgeting, and valuation analysis, including advanced modelling of integrated financial statements.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel.
  • Proficiency in other programs involving large data sets is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex analysis into clear, actionable insights.
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships and collaborate across teams.
  • Strong attention to detail, combined with the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams.

Responsibilities

  • Own and continuously enhance the company’s consolidated corporate model, including integrated P&L, cash flow, and balance sheet forecasts, as well as supporting project-level forecasts.
  • Lead periodic business, portfolio, and project valuations using DCF and other appropriate methodologies; develop, maintain, and document key assumptions and valuation drivers.
  • Design and execute scenario and sensitivity analyses across operating, market, and financing assumptions, and assess their impact on performance and valuation.
  • Partner with asset management, operations, development, accounting, tax, and other internal teams to source, validate, and maintain key model inputs and assumptions.
  • Support acquisitions, financings, and strategic planning through valuation analysis, financial modeling, diligence, and related analysis.
  • Prepare clear, decision-oriented materials for senior management and other internal stakeholders, including valuation updates, investment materials, and portfolio reporting; support long-term planning, capital expenditure reviews, and financing needs in partnership with FP&A.
