Requirements

  • 1 - 3 years of professional services experience. High calibre recent graduates will be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in business (accounting or finance major)
  • CPA designation is an asset
  • Working towards a CBV designation or willingness to enrol in the program
  • Previous experience building complex financial models is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Participate in business valuations, intellectual property valuations, fairness opinions, financial modelling and purchase price allocations to help clients understand the value of their business and its components
  • Work with a team to build complex and dynamic, excel based financial models, including three-statement and cash flow projections, scenario and sensitivity analysis, to support valuations and strategic decision making
  • Participate in interactions with clients, stakeholders, legal counsel and financial advisors
  • Conduct industry and market research on trends, valuation multiples for relevant public companies and precedent transactions
  • Analyze financial statements, projections and forecasts, prepare valuation models and perform other technical based analysis to support valuation conclusions
  • Design and develop high-quality deliverables including engagement letters, reports and presentations
  • Participate in business development initiatives and contribute to the preparation and delivery of competitive proposals
  • Work collaboratively with the client engagement team
  • Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary
