About The Position

Hertz Local Edition (HLE) provides flexible local rental solutions outside airport hubs. The Manager Trainee supports location performance while developing leadership skills and learning the business in a fast-paced environment. The role prepares the employee for potential promotion to Branch Manager in as little as 12–18 months through hands-on experience and structured training.

Requirements

Must be 20 years of age or older.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Valid driver's license.
Strong computer and multitasking skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to grow.
Exceptional time management skills.
Flexible scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Presentable attire.
Experience working in a professional environment.

Responsibilities

Support achievement of location sales goals.
Deliver an excellent customer experience and contribute to high customer service scores.
Learn and apply sales techniques and CRM best practices.
Gain hands-on experience in fleet logistics and inventory control.
Assist with store operations and compliance.
Support tasks such as cleaning and preparing vehicles for customers, managing the lot, and assisting with customer service.
Learn finance processes and support deal completion.
Understand reporting, documentation, and business metrics.
Shadow and support management in daily operations.
Build skills in team leadership, scheduling, and performance coaching.
Prepare for future leadership roles through structured training.
Learn how the role contributes to the company's overall financial wellbeing.

Benefits

Hourly rate of $18.00.
Eligible for overtime pay, subject to company policy and applicable laws.
Holiday pay for hours worked on designated holidays, plus 8 hours of holiday pay.
