About The Position

Hertz Local Edition is hiring a Manager Trainee to join its local rental branch team. This hands-on role provides structured training and real-world experience in running a rental location, delivering a strong customer experience, and supporting daily branch operations. The position is intended to prepare the trainee for promotion to Branch Manager in as little as 12–18 months. Compensation is $17 per hour plus incentives that vary based on job performance. The location is 18900 W Capitol Dr, Brookfield, WI 53045.

Requirements

• Must be at least 20 years old.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Strong communication, computer, multitasking, and time management skills.
• Self-motivated and adaptable, with an interest in learning the business and growing into leadership.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
• Professional appearance and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Learn the rental car business through hands-on training in sales, customer service, operations, fleet logistics, and administration.
• Support branch sales goals by building customer relationships, identifying customer needs, and applying effective sales techniques.
• Help customers through the rental process and professionally resolve questions or concerns.
• Assist with daily branch operations, including fleet inventory, vehicle preparation, lot organization, documentation, and compliance tasks.
• Partner with branch leadership to learn about scheduling, team communication, performance coaching, and business metrics.
• Build skills for future leadership opportunities within Hertz.
