About The Position

Hertz Local Edition (HLE) provides local rental solutions outside airport hubs. The Manager Trainee supports location performance while developing leadership skills and preparing for potential promotion to Branch Manager in as little as 12–18 months. The role provides exposure to multiple aspects of the business in a fast-paced environment, including sales and customer service, fleet and store operations, vehicle and facility care, finance and administration, and leadership development.

Requirements

Must be at least 20 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Valid driver's license.
Strong computer and multitasking skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to grow.
Exceptional time management skills.
Flexible scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Presentable attire.
Experience working in a professional environment.

Responsibilities

Support achievement of location sales goals and contribute to strong customer service scores.
Learn and apply sales techniques and CRM best practices.
Gain hands-on experience in fleet logistics and inventory control.
Assist with store operations and compliance.
Help clean and prepare vehicles, manage the lot, and provide customer service assistance.
Learn finance processes and support deal completion.
Understand reporting, documentation, and business metrics.
Shadow and support management in daily operations.
Build skills in team leadership, scheduling, and performance coaching.
Complete structured training to prepare for future leadership roles.
Learn how the role contributes to the company's overall financial wellbeing.

Benefits

Hourly pay of $18.00.
Eligible for overtime pay, subject to prior approval under company policy.
Holiday pay: 1.5 times the regular pay rate for hours worked on a designated holiday, plus 8 hours of holiday pay.
Sick pay, up to 40 hours.
Paid time off, vacation, and paid observed holidays; accruals start at 0.83 days per month, with 4 floating holidays and 9 paid observed holidays.
