About The Position

We are looking for a highly motivated Manager Trainee to join our Corrections team. In this role, you will rotate through both front-of-house and back-of-house operations, gaining hands-on experience in managing high-volume food service operations, leading teams, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience. Upon completion of New Manager training the position will be promoted into the Manager role with a increase in pay to be discussed upon hire. This unit supervises 1-2 inmates and 2 hourly Summit employees. Upon successful completion of training a $500 bonus will be paid in December.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience in a restaurant, retail, hospitality, or similar guest-service role.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to lead a team and deliver excellent service.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.

Nice To Haves

Experience as a shift leader or trainer, with leadership and team development skills.
Familiarity with inventory management and labor-scheduling systems.
Ability to analyze operational data to improve efficiency and guest experience.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

Oversee opening, mid-shift, and closing procedures for kitchen, server, and retail stations.
Maintain food safety standards and brand integrity by conducting line checks and completing HACCP documentation.
Lead shift huddles and provides real-time feedback to promote a positive team environment and drive productivity.
Monitor sales, labor, and food costs; assist with developing weekly inventory and ordering plans.
Support on-campus marketing events and foster community partnerships.
