About The Position

Hertz Local Edition (HLE) provides flexible local rental solutions outside airport hubs. The Manager Trainee supports location performance while developing leadership skills and preparing for potential promotion to Branch Manager in as little as 12–18 months. The role offers hands-on experience across sales and customer service, rental operations, fleet management, vehicle and facility care, finance, administration, and leadership development. Structured training and opportunities to shadow and support management help the trainee learn how the role contributes to the company’s financial performance.

Requirements

• Must be 20 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong computer and multitasking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to grow.
• Exceptional time management skills.
• Flexible scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Presentable attire.
• Experience working in a professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Support achievement of location sales goals and deliver excellent customer experiences.
• Learn and apply sales techniques and CRM best practices.
• Gain experience in fleet logistics and inventory control.
• Assist with store operations and compliance.
• Help clean and prepare vehicles for customers, manage the lot, and provide customer service assistance.
• Learn finance processes and support deal completion.
• Understand reporting, documentation, and business metrics.
• Shadow and support management in daily operations.
• Develop skills in team leadership, scheduling, and performance coaching.
• Prepare for future leadership roles through structured training.
• Learn how the role contributes to the overall financial wellbeing of the company.

Benefits

• Hourly wage of $23.00.
• Eligible for overtime pay, subject to company policy and applicable laws.
• Holiday pay of 1.5 times the regular pay rate for hours worked on a designated holiday, plus 8 hours of holiday pay.
