About The Position

Hertz Local Edition (HLE) is hiring a Manager Trainee to support location performance, develop leadership skills, and prepare for promotion to Branch Manager in as little as 12–18 months. The role offers hands-on exposure to sales and customer service, operations and fleet management, vehicle and facility care, finance and administration, and leadership development in a fast-paced environment. The starting wage is $16.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be at least 20 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong computer and multitasking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to grow.
• Exceptional time management skills.
• Flexible scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Presentable attire.
• Experience working in a professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Support achievement of location sales goals and contribute to excellent customer experiences and high customer service scores.
• Learn and apply sales techniques and CRM best practices.
• Gain hands-on experience in fleet logistics and inventory control.
• Assist with store operations and compliance.
• Help clean and prepare vehicles for customers, manage the lot, and provide customer service assistance.
• Learn finance processes and support deal completion.
• Understand reporting, documentation, and business metrics.
• Shadow and support management in daily operations.
• Build skills in team leadership, scheduling, and performance coaching through structured training.
• Learn how the role contributes to the company’s overall financial wellbeing.
