About The Position

Hertz Local Edition (HLE) provides flexible local rental solutions to customers outside its airport hubs. The Manager Trainee supports location performance while learning the business and developing leadership skills, with preparation for promotion to Branch Manager in as little as 12–18 months. The role covers sales and customer service, operations and fleet management, vehicle and facility care, finance and administration, and leadership development. The position is based at 656 S State St, Orem, UT 84058. Pay is $19.00 per hour plus incentives, which vary based on job performance. Overtime is eligible with prior approval and is paid according to applicable laws. Holiday pay is eligible at 1.5 times the regular rate for hours worked on a designated holiday, plus eight hours of holiday pay.

Requirements

Must be at least 20 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Valid driver’s license.
Strong computer and multitasking skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to grow.
Excellent time management skills.
Flexible scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

Support achievement of location sales goals.
Deliver excellent customer experiences to contribute to high customer service scores.
Learn and apply sales techniques and CRM best practices.
Gain hands-on experience in fleet logistics and inventory control.
Assist with store operations and compliance.
Help clean and prepare vehicles for customers, manage the lot, and provide customer service assistance.
Learn finance processes and support deal completion.
Understand reporting, documentation, and business metrics.
Shadow and support management in daily operations.
Build skills in team leadership, scheduling, and performance coaching.
Prepare for future leadership roles through structured training.
Learn how the role contributes to the overall financial well-being of the company.
