About The Position

Hertz Local Edition (HLE) is hiring a Manager Trainee to support location performance, develop leadership skills, and prepare for promotion to Branch Manager in as little as 12–18 months. The role provides exposure to the business in a fast-paced environment, with structured training and opportunities to learn sales, customer service, operations, fleet management, finance, administration, and leadership. The starting wage is $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be 20 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Strong computer and multitasking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to grow.
• Exceptional time management skills.
• Flexible scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Presentable attire.
• Experience working in a professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Support achievement of location sales goals.
• Deliver excellent customer experiences and contribute to high customer service scores.
• Learn and apply sales techniques and CRM best practices.
• Gain hands-on experience in fleet logistics and inventory control.
• Assist with store operations and compliance.
• Help clean and prepare vehicles for customers, manage the lot, and assist with customer service.
• Learn finance processes and support deal completion.
• Understand reporting, documentation, and business metrics.
• Shadow and support management in daily operations.
• Develop skills in team leadership, scheduling, and performance coaching.
• Prepare for future leadership roles through structured training.
• Learn how the role contributes to the company's overall financial wellbeing.
