About The Position

Hertz Local Edition (HLE) is hiring a Manager Trainee to support location performance, develop leadership skills, and prepare for promotion to Branch Manager in as little as 12–18 months. The role offers hands-on experience across sales and customer service, operations and fleet management, vehicle and facility care, finance and administration, and leadership development. It is suited to someone who is eager to learn all aspects of the business and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Starting pay is $35,360 per year or $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

Must be at least 20 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Valid driver’s license.
Strong computer and multitasking skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to grow.
Exceptional time management skills.
Flexible scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

Support achievement of location sales goals and contribute to excellent customer service scores.
Learn and apply sales techniques and CRM best practices.
Gain hands-on experience in fleet logistics and inventory control.
Assist with store operations and compliance.
Help clean and prepare vehicles for customers, manage the lot, and provide customer service assistance.
Learn finance processes and support deal completion.
Understand reporting, documentation, and business metrics.
Shadow and support management in daily operations.
Build skills in team leadership, scheduling, and performance coaching.
Complete structured training to prepare for future leadership roles.
