About The Position

84 Lumber, a family-owned company, is seeking motivated individuals for an Entry Level Manager Trainee position. This role is designed to prepare individuals for leadership within the company through hands-on training across all aspects of store operations. The company emphasizes growth, stability, and a "nothing is impossible" mindset, with a strong internal promotion structure. Many store managers began as Manager Trainees, and promotions can occur within six months. The company is the nation's largest privately held supplier of building materials and has over 320 facilities across 34 states.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Willingness to work a full-time schedule (48+ hours/week, overtime included).
• Willingness to relocate for a management position.
• Dedication and willingness to learn.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support customers and drive sales in a retail store environment.
• Oversee material/supply chain flow, stock, and merchandising.
• Create material estimates for building projects.
• Safe handling of materials and equipment.
• Manage payroll, invoicing, inventory, and financial analysis.
• Enhance and refine Microsoft Office Suite skills.
• Process payroll, invoicing, inventory, and utilize POS systems.
• Interpret and analyze common financial reports.
• Read blueprints and create material lists.
• Respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.
