About The Position

Hertz Local Edition is hiring a Manager Trainee to support location performance, develop leadership skills, and prepare for promotion to Branch Manager in as little as 12–18 months. The role provides exposure to the business in a fast-paced environment, including sales and customer service, fleet and store operations, vehicle and facility care, finance and administration, and leadership development. The position is located at 4855 Hopyard Road, Pleasanton, California 94588, and pays $22.00 per hour.

Requirements

Must be at least 20 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license.
Strong computer and multitasking skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to grow.
Exceptional time management skills.
Flexible scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

Support achievement of location sales goals.
Deliver excellent customer experiences to contribute to high customer service scores.
Learn and apply sales techniques and CRM best practices.
Gain hands-on experience in fleet logistics and inventory control.
Assist with store operations and compliance.
Support vehicle cleaning and preparation, lot management, and customer service assistance.
Learn finance processes and support deal completion.
Understand reporting, documentation, and business metrics.
Shadow and support management in daily operations.
Build skills in team leadership, scheduling, and performance coaching.
Prepare for future leadership roles through structured training.
Learn how the role contributes to the company's overall financial wellbeing.

Eligible for holiday pay: 1.5 times regular pay for hours worked on a designated holiday, in addition to 8 hours of holiday pay.
