About The Position

84 Lumber is hiring a full-time, entry-level Manager Trainee to prepare candidates for a future leadership role within the company. The role provides structured classroom, online, and hands-on training across all areas of store operations, with the goal of promotion to a management position. Promotion may be possible within 6–12 months based on performance and position availability, and trainees must complete the assigned learning plan and course of study on time. Candidates must be willing to relocate for a management position. No prior experience is required. The position is based at 122 McCutcheon Ln, El Paso, TX 79932.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Availability for a full-time schedule of 48 or more hours per week, including overtime.
• Willingness to relocate for a management position.
• Complete the assigned learning plan and course of study within the specified time frame.
• Authorize a background check.
• Pass a urinalysis drug screening.
• Pass a math assessment.

Nice To Haves

• Previous Microsoft Office Suite experience.
• Bilingual Spanish/English.

Responsibilities

• Support customers and drive sales in a retail store environment.
• Learn store operations, inventory management, supply-chain flow, stock, and merchandising.
• Read blueprints and create material estimates and material lists for building projects.
• Operate forklifts safely and complete forklift certification.
• Learn business management processes, including payroll, invoicing, inventory, and financial analysis.
• Use Microsoft Office Suite.
• Interpret and analyze common financial reports.
• Respond to common customer inquiries or complaints.
