About The Position

The opportunity The Manager will lead and mature Technology’s vendor governance capability, ensuring consistent oversight, policy adhere and lifecycle discipline across the division. Working as an advisor to technology owners and in close partnership with Procurement, helping them navigate the vendor lifecycle, adhere to enterprise procurement requirements, and maintain accountability for vendor performance. Who you'll work with You will work closely with technology owners across the division who are responsible for their vendor relationships, providing guidance, frameworks, and support throughout the vendor lifecycle. You will also partner extensively with the Procurement team—leveraging their enterprise processes and expertise—to ensure strong alignment between technology needs, sourcing activities, and governance standards. From time to time, you may collaborate with Enterprise Security, Privacy, Legal, and other operational teams to ensure appropriate due diligence, compliance, and reporting. What you'll do Adapt and operationalize the enterprise Vendor Governance Framework for the Technology division, translating procurement policies and standards into practical guidance, workflows, and technology-specific requirements that technology owners can effectively apply. Support vendor onboarding lifecycle for strategic new technology vendor engagements, ensuring adherence to enterprise governance requirements Establish and manage a centralized vendor tracking system that provides visibility into contracts, renewals, risk assessments, vendor performance, and upcoming contract events. Support to technology owners throughout the vendor lifecycle, such as connecting them to procurement processes, evaluating vendor SLAs and KPIs, and resolving vendor issues Provide vendor reporting and insights to leadership, including performance data, renewals, vendor activities, and strategic recommendations . Support the management of technology vendors involved in workforce-sensitive arrangements (e.g., outsourcing, managed services, staff augmentation), ensuring appropriate governance, escalation, and alignment with enterprise labour, P&C, Legal, and Union considerations where applicable Develop and maintain technology vendor governance resources by leveraging and adapting enterprise Procurement materials, including information hubs, templates and best practices. Design and deliver training programs to educate technology owners on governance policies, processes, tools, and vendor management best practices. Hold technology owners accountable for following the required due diligence and lifecycle steps for onboarding, renewing, assessing, or offboarding vendors. Foster a culture of consistency, accountability, and continuous improvement in vendor management practices across the division. Decide on key recommendations to be made to the divisional and departmental leadership teams on vendor governance and management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or graduate degree in business, finance, economics, technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years in vendor management, Procurement, consulting, technology governance, or a similar function.
  • Strong project management, prioritization, and organizational skills.

  • Experience across the full vendor management lifecycle, including RFP processes, contract evaluation, onboarding, renewals, and vendor performance oversight.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of vendor governance practices, including due diligence, risk assessment, policy adherence, and documentation.
  • Familiarity with sourcing processes, cost management concepts, and preparing operational or financial reports.
  • Experience in maintaining vendor or contract data repositories and tracking key contract events.
  • Minimum 5 to 10 years related work experience desired
