About The Position

Responsible for managing project management and analyst staff in area(s) of specialization. Ensures staff performance in order to meet business needs in compliance with strategic priorities. Collaborates closely with business and or functional area(s) to assist users in defining their needs. Assumes responsibility for all projects within their team. This role also ensures that projects and programs align with enterprise strategic goals and adhere to standardized governance and delivery practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in information Sciences and Technology or Information Management related fields or Associate’s Degree and 10 years preferred work experience.
  • 7 years progressive work experience in information technology, healthcare or business project management related fields.
  • 1 year experience in a lead, supervisory or leadership role.
  • Core technical and project management skills including project management expertise, portfolio and governance management.
  • Understanding of enterprise platforms, digital technologies, and integration tools to bridge business and technical needs.
  • Ability to manage, mentor and coach project managers and analysts to foster a culture of growth and continuous learning.
  • Relationship building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Effective communication and collaboration across teams and departments.
  • Competence in monitoring KPIs.
  • Ability to identify risks, manage change and implement mitigation strategies for technology initiatives.
  • Capacity to navigate ambiguity and deliver results using problem-solving and adaptability.

Responsibilities

  • Manages a portfolio of strategic initiatives while overseeing team performance.
  • Aligns projects with organizational objectives like improved patient care, operational efficiency, and digital transformation.
  • Maintains PMO playbooks, policies and standardized project management methodologies.
  • Implements best practices for project scope, risk management and lessons learned.
  • Promotes ongoing process optimization and integration across enterprise portfolios.
  • Drives intake and prioritization of technology projects through structured governance committees and sub-committees.
  • Facilitates operational governance committees and ensures compliance with intake workflows and demand management processes.
  • Assists with portfolio decision making and performance monitoring.
  • Leads PMO education sessions for project managers and IS&T leaders.
