Google is hiring a Technical Program Management manager to lead and scale a high-performing team of TPMs responsible for the physical backbone of a novel computing platform. The team will own the end-to-end hardware and system New Product Introduction (NPI) lifecycle for space-ready Google TPU enclosures and related systems. The role partners with engineering managers and cross-functional leads across Electrical Engineering, Thermal/Mechanical Design, and Software. It brings operational excellence, transparent milestone delivery, and strategic leadership to complex infrastructure initiatives. The manager will define program structure in a novel environment, guide rapid prototyping, and drive rigorous testing to make hardware operate in environments for which it was not originally designed. The role also establishes portfolio governance standards and mentors executive- and staff-level TPMs. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, the manager leads complex, multidisciplinary engineering projects throughout their lifecycle: planning requirements with internal customers, managing schedules, identifying risks, and communicating with stakeholders. The role requires explaining analyses and recommendations to executives and discussing technical trade-offs with engineers. Work may involve technical information that is export-controlled; non-US persons would require an export license to access it.
