About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Technical Product Support Manager to lead our technical product support function. This role involves developing business strategies, managing a team to resolve customer technical issues, and liaising with sales and engineering teams to ensure seamless product support and development. The manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining and building strong customer relationships to achieve business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in the high-tech industry or IT, focusing on product engineering, development, and support functions.
  • Proven experience in managing teams and projects in diverse technological and business environments.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to manage middle-level management teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Ability to work under general direction and report frequently to senior-level executives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business strategies for the technical product support function.
  • Manage a team responsible for resolving customer technical problems and providing post-sales support.
  • Oversee the development of technical responses for Requests for Quotes (RFQs) and work closely with the sales team to address product issues.
  • Coordinate the delivery and installation of new software releases to customers.
  • Manage the technical interface with customers, including specification reviews and hands-on testing.
  • Collaborate with development and engineering for systems design and integration at customer sites.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers to support business objectives.
  • Mentor and guide supervisors, project leads, and technical staff.
  • Report to senior-level management and act as a technical leader and subject matter expert on complex issues/projects.
