About The Position

The Tax Lead will assist with the Company’s U.S. federal, state, and foreign consolidated worldwide tax provision; U.S. and Canadian tax compliance; and international tax planning activities such as transfer pricing, cash repatriation, and controversy functions.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of corporate tax experience, preferably with a public accounting firm or corporate tax department.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field. MS in Accounting/Taxation preferred.
  • CPA certification required.
  • Experience with ASC 740 and Uncertain Tax Positions.
  • Exposure to international tax concepts and transfer pricing.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and tax software (e.g., OneSource, Intacct) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with external service providers on the preparation of: Global tax provision inputs and supporting schedules, U.S. and Canadian federal/state income and franchise tax filings, including apportionment and estimated/extension payments, Transfer pricing documentation and intercompany reports
  • Ensure workpapers are complete and provide adequate support and audit trail.
  • Gather accounting and operational data from internal departments to support tax filings and provision calculations.
  • Assist in preparing reconciliations for tax-related accounts.
  • Maintain the tax calendar and help ensure timely filings and payments.
  • Support the collection and organization of intercompany agreements and transfer pricing documentation.
  • Research technical U.S. federal/SALT tax issues and assist in drafting technical memos.
  • Assist with tax due diligence, legal entity rationalization, modeling, and planning associated with mergers and acquisitions.
  • Participate in tax-related projects such as audit responses, notices, information reporting (W-9s/W-8s), and process improvements.
