About The Position

Manager, Talent Acquisition Reporting to the Senior Manager, Retail Talent Acquisition, this multi-state, multi-unit regional recruiting position is responsible management recruiting and staffing. The TAM will develop and implement recruitment and sourcing strategies to meet the hiring plans of non-traditional units, and be responsible for identifying and leading process improvement projects and best practices. As a key business partner to the retail leadership team, the Talent Acquisition Manager will create and/or execute recruiting initiatives and be an integral part of the team. Duties & Responsibilities Develop an in-depth understanding of the retail business within Panera to ensure that during sourcing and selection of candidates, the perfect fit is achieved. Develop and implement comprehensive sourcing and recruiting strategies to meet business objectives. Provide proactive recruitment leadership and requisition management; establish recruiting strategies and processes aligned with the business objectives. Establish a true business partnership with operators and senior leadership and provides guidance on all staffing related issues. Consult with line managers and retail leadership on staffing needs (both current and future). Manage the recruiting process to insure that all cafe management positions are staffed to the appropriate levels. Work with the Human Resources Management team to communicate hiring needs and collaborate with retail management to hire the highest quality candidates. Ensure that the Panera on-boarding process is followed for all new hires. Make recommendations on best practices, develop and drive recruiting programs to facilitate optimal level of hires within the market. Execute the recruitment strategy by identifying and sourcing the appropriate talent, managing the entire process from posting & sourcing through the onboarding stage. Manage relationships with key recruiting vendors involved in the screening and sourcing process. Participate in and may lead workforce planning strategy sessions with HR partners, operators and management. Offer counsel and guidance regarding market employment trends, compensation, skills/attributes, recruitment strategies, interviewing/assessments, and sourcing tactics. Partner with the Director, Talent Acquisition and Sr. Manager, Talent Acquisition to ensure alignment on recruitment services, processes and tools. Aware of recruiting budget, exploring ways to reduce cost per hire while maintaining high level of quality; monitors and reports on recruitment related P&L expenses for all talent acquisition expenses. Ensure that recruiting practices are in compliance with EEO and ADA guidelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, equivalent degree or equivalent related experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of recruitment experience, preferably in a sales or restaurant environment
  • Knowledge of HR practices and principles, and all applicable employment, labor, wage laws, and EEO regulations preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated ability to build, manage and maintain a network of collaborative relationships with internal clients, candidates, colleagues and vendors
  • Self-motivated individual with strong follow-up skills and the ability meet established deadlines
  • High level of professionalism and ability to influence – confidentiality is a must
  • Proactive recruiting and sourcing experience and proficiency in social networks and mobile recruiting applications a plus
  • Experience with sourcing/recruitment strategy development
  • Experience with recruitment vendor selection and management
  • Workforce planning experience preferred
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems such as Workday
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 10%
