Position Summary... What you'll do... Role summary: As the Manager, Supply Planning, you will lead the development and execution of replenishment strategies that optimize inventory flow and operational efficiency. This role requires leveraging advanced data analysis and digital tools to interpret sales trends, customer behavior, and supply chain performance. You will collaborate cross-functionally to address supply challenges, drive process improvements, and support financial planning. Your strategic insights will inform decision-making to enhance supplier performance and ensure seamless merchandise availability, contributing to Walmart’s commitment to delivering value and an exceptional customer experience. About the team: The Supply Planning team plays a critical role in supporting merchant strategy through precise ordering, forecasting, and detailed analysis of inventory levels and on-time, in-full (OTIF) performance. This team leverages data analysis and digital tools to optimize supply chain efficiency and drive strategic decisions. Collaborating closely with cross-functional partners, they address supply challenges and enhance operational processes. The team is committed to delivering accurate replenishment plans that align with business goals, ensuring seamless product availability while maintaining financial discipline and operational excellence across the supply chain network.

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in supply chain management and replenishment planning to optimize inventory and operational efficiency.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data analysis tools and digital literacy for informed decision-making.
  • Experience interpreting financial statements and managing budgets to support business cases and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Ability to develop strategic insights from industry trends, customer behavior, and competitor data to drive business improvements.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to partner with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
  • Demonstrated leadership in coaching, mentoring, and fostering a high-performing team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze merchandise sales data and supply chain metrics to identify trends and inform replenishment strategies.
  • Develop and implement replenishment plans in collaboration with Merchandising, Finance, and Operations teams.
  • Monitor inventory levels and address supply issues by identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
  • Leverage advanced data analysis tools to generate insights that support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.
  • Communicate supply planning performance and issues to stakeholders, providing actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal partners to improve supply reliability and resolve performance challenges.
  • Support financial planning by evaluating the impact of supply decisions on profit and loss statements.
