Reporting to the General Manager - Langley, this role provides tactical and strategic leadership for the site’s supply chain functions. As a Manager, Supply Chain, you’ll lead sourcing, planning, purchasing, and logistics activities for the helicopter airframe MRO & modification site located in Langley, BC, ensuring the best value supply and smooth logistics of parts and services while meeting program, quality, and delivery requirements. This leader is a key member of the site strategic leadership team and works closely with the functional departments within the site, as well as with the corporate finance and supply chain teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Aerospace, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant supply chain experience
  • 8+ years of combined experience in procurement and logistics, including management of suppliers, inventory, shipping and receiving in a technical environment
  • 3+ years of progressive leadership experience in supply chain
  • Demonstrated experience in building supplier relationships and negotiating agreements with measurable results
  • Experience using data and quality metrics to analyze performance and support operational or business decision-making
  • Hands-on experience conducting cost analysis, including cost breakdowns or should-cost modeling
  • Authorization to work in Canada is required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in the aerospace regulatory environment as part of an MRO organization (e.g. TCCA AMO, FAA repair station, EASA 145, or equivalent)
  • Experience in aerospace manufacturing or similar industry
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using Excel and CI (Continuous Improvement) methodologies for data analysis, reporting, and process optimization
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Knowledge of supplier quality standards (e.g., AS9110, ISO 9001, or equivalent)

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support all aspects of supply chain for the site, including purchasing, shipping & receiving, and stores functions in support of the site’s Transport Canada Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO) MRO operations
  • Work alongside and manage a small team of buyers and stores personnel, including setting objectives and supporting performance development
  • Develop and grow relationships with critical suppliers, including key aerospace OEMs and subcontractors, including negotiating supplier pricing, contracts, and inventory agreements to achieve cost savings and favorable terms
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations teams on sourcing, supplier qualification, and procurement of unique and custom parts & material required for prototyping and manufacturing of FAA, TCCA, and EASA-approved helicopter modification kits
  • Monitor supplier performance using KPIs (on-time delivery, quality, cost) and returns, implementing supplier corrective actions as needed
  • Oversee all stores (warehousing) activities including stocking & picking, material handling, inventory control, cycle counts, and storage/preservation in compliance with relevant manuals, regulations, and policies
  • Manage end-to-end shipping (inbound and outbound logistics) to/from domestic and overseas destinations in a safe, timely, and compliant manner for all material, parts, and whole aircraft (including DG shipments), as well as examination of all incoming aircraft components and materials to confirm strict adherence to engineering specifications, quality standards, and critical regulatory mandates
  • Ensure compliance with all internal and external requirements, including regulatory airworthiness requirements and SOX compliance, and lead supply chain audit and reporting processes to internal corporate teams and external auditors
  • Drive safety culture, tracking, and reporting, including identification and escalation of non-conformances in accordance with applicable policies and procedures
  • Facilitate continuous improvement (CI) initiatives as a process leader and facilitator, and promote CI culture throughout the team
