Manager, Supply Chain
About The Position
Sony Biotechnology, Inc. seeks a Manager, Supply Chain in San Jose, CA to oversee a team of supervisors and analysts to manage the supply chain portion of the Quality Management System through creation, revision, and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions. This role involves developing and executing end-to-end supply chain strategies to support forecasting, procurement, and inventory control for researching flow cytometry instruments and products. The position also includes analyzing business data, automating and optimizing supply chain workflows, managing part master data, building trade compliance documentation, and supporting prototype readiness and operational alignment.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Supply Chain, or related, or equivalent and three (3) years of experience developing and executing end‐to‐end supply chain strategies to support forecasting, procurement, and inventory control for researching flow cytometry instruments and products using Microsoft Access, Microsoft Visio, PowerBI, Power Automate, Salesforce API, Terraform, and Smartsheet.
- Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience as an alternate.

- Experience with Python, Excel macros, and RPA tools.
- Experience building trade compliance documentation portfolios including HTS codes and Country of Origin Certificates.
- Experience supporting Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) documentation related to supplier evaluation, performance monitoring, and logistics procedures for Quality Management System.
- Experience supporting prototype readiness and operational alignment in collaboration with technical and business stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Oversee a team of supervisors and analysts to manage the supply chain portion of the Quality Management System through creation, revision, and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
- Develop and execute end-to-end supply chain strategies to support forecasting, procurement, and inventory control for researching flow cytometry instruments and products.
- Develop and execute material supply plans to ensure supplies availability for specialized requirements from multiple business functions.
- Analyze business data and generate supply chain visualizations to present the changing dynamics of supply chain performance metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
- Automate and optimize supply chain workflows.
- Manage part master data and build trade compliance documentation portfolios including HTS codes and Country of Origin Certificates to support import and export operations.
- Support Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) documentation related to supplier evaluation, performance monitoring, and logistics procedures for Quality Management System.
- Support prototype readiness and operational alignment in collaboration with technical and business stakeholders.
Benefits
- Salary Range: $127,200.00 – $140,000.00/year.
