About The Position

The Manager, Supply Chain & Procurement oversees Centr's supply chain operations, focusing on third-party logistics (3PL) management, purchasing, inventory planning, and vendor relationships. The role ensures products are sourced and purchased efficiently, inventory is available to meet business demand, and fulfillment operations run accurately, reliably, and cost-effectively across DTC/e-commerce and B2B channels. Working cross-functionally with internal teams, suppliers, and 3PL partners, this role manages purchasing activities, monitors inventory levels, optimizes supply chain costs, and drives operational improvements. It combines hands-on procurement experience with knowledge of 3PL operations, inventory management, and systems and processes that support a growing global business.

Requirements

5–10 years of proven experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain management, or a related operational role.
Direct experience managing relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and warehouse partners.
Strong understanding of purchasing processes, including purchase orders, supplier management, lead times, delivery tracking, and cost evaluation.
Experience managing inventory levels, replenishment, inventory reconciliation, and stock availability.
Familiarity with warehouse operations, including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, returns, and inventory control.
Experience supporting DTC/e-commerce and/or B2B operations.
Ability to monitor supplier and 3PL performance, resolve operational issues, and drive continuous improvement.
Strong analytical skills, including the ability to evaluate purchasing costs, inventory trends, supplier performance, and operational metrics.
Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
Strong communication, negotiation, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, work cross-functionally, and operate effectively in a fast-paced, growing business environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience with ERP systems.
Familiarity with Shopify, Amazon, EDI, or similar e-commerce and order management platforms.
Experience coordinating inbound freight, parcel shipping, and/or LTL/FTL shipments.

Responsibilities

Manage purchasing activities, including purchase order creation, order tracking, supplier communication, and delivery coordination.
Develop supplier and vendor relationships to support product availability, quality, competitive pricing, and reliable lead times.
Evaluate supplier pricing, negotiate costs and terms where appropriate, and identify opportunities to improve purchasing efficiency and profitability.
Monitor purchase orders from placement through delivery and address delays, discrepancies, and supply constraints.
Align purchasing decisions with sales forecasts, inventory needs, and business priorities in coordination with internal stakeholders.
Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier information, and purchase order documentation.
Improve procurement processes, reduce costs, and strengthen supplier performance.
Manage day-to-day relationships with third-party logistics providers, serving as the primary point of contact for operational and fulfillment issues.
Oversee 3PL receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, and returns processes to ensure service and operational standards are met.
Maintain inventory accuracy with 3PL partners through cycle counts, reconciliations, and discrepancy resolution.
Monitor inbound shipments and coordinate with suppliers and 3PL partners to ensure timely, accurate inventory receipt.
Track inventory across warehouse locations and coordinate replenishment activities.
Evaluate 3PL capabilities, service levels, and costs against current and future business needs.
Monitor inventory levels, sales trends, open purchase orders, and supplier lead times to support planning and replenishment decisions.
Collaborate with internal teams to anticipate demand, minimize stockouts, and reduce excess or slow-moving inventory.
Coordinate inbound freight and delivery schedules among suppliers, carriers, and warehouse partners.
Resolve inventory discrepancies, delayed shipments, and supply chain bottlenecks.
Support inventory forecasting and purchasing plans that balance product availability, working capital, and storage costs.
Maintain visibility into inventory movement from supplier through warehouse receipt and final customer fulfillment.
Establish and monitor supplier and 3PL KPIs, including on-time delivery, order accuracy, inventory accuracy, fulfillment speed, and cost.
Review vendor and 3PL performance, identify improvement areas, and implement corrective action plans as needed.
Track purchasing, freight, warehousing, and fulfillment costs to identify savings and operational efficiencies.
Build and maintain Excel or Google Sheets reporting for purchasing activity, inventory performance, supplier reliability, and 3PL results.
Communicate with suppliers and logistics partners to resolve issues and ensure accountability against expectations.
Maintain accurate purchasing, inventory, and fulfillment data across relevant business systems.
Work with internal teams and technology partners on integrations and workflows across ERP, Shopify, Amazon, EDI, and other relevant platforms.
Develop and improve processes for purchase order management, inventory reconciliation, supplier coordination, and 3PL operations.
Streamline workflows, improve reporting accuracy, reduce manual processes, and increase supply chain visibility.
Provide regular updates on purchasing activity, inventory risks, vendor performance, and supply chain costs.
Partner with Finance, Sales, Operations, and other internal teams to align purchasing and inventory decisions with business objectives.
Coordinate with stakeholders to support product launches, promotional periods, and changes in demand.
Manage and prioritize day-to-day operational activities, ensuring purchasing and fulfillment processes are completed accurately and on time.
Lead or support team members involved in purchasing, inventory, and warehouse-facing operations, as applicable.
Contribute to supply chain planning and process improvements that support Centr's growth.
