This role is part of Alcon's Supply Chain function, a team that manages logistics, inventory management, and supply chain analytics for Alcon's leading industry to ensure products are delivered efficiently and effectively so that people can see brilliantly at our Manufacturing Facility in Fort Worth, TX. The role involves partnering with Global S&OP and Manufacturing planning teams to optimize end-to-end supply planning execution, measuring organizational performance, and maintaining strategy, process, and systems in alignment with the needs of the Alcon Surgical and Aseptic S&OP Franchises. It also focuses on global alignment of business requirements, processes, governance, and planning system configuration, providing leadership to incorporate standards and implement network supply-planning governance across the Alcon Supply Chain. The position will identify new features/functionality for supply planning systems, evaluate system upgrades with software vendors and IT COE, and serve as a subject matter expert for integrating planning systems with other internal systems like SAP ECC. Collaboration with surgical and vision care franchises and intercompany stakeholders is key to assessing improvements in strategic, tactical, and operational supply planning, including unconstrained heuristics/constrained optimization, deployment/allocation, and planning simulation. The role will partner with S&OP and manufacturing teams to prioritize business process improvements by enabling advanced planning system functionalities, Analytics, and Future system AI/decision intelligence capabilities. Additionally, it involves reviewing and providing recommendations on manufacturing network strategy and system configuration, reviewing and prioritizing system-related change requests, developing business cases for initiatives, defining education and training needs for global network supply planners, coaching planning analysts, reviewing User Requirement Specifications, and coordinating testing and signoff for new functionality. Collaboration with other Global Planning Excellence GPOs and the Global Master Data team is expected for end-to-end strategic direction, and the role will identify and implement key performance indicators to assess process effectiveness.
