About The Position

The Manager, Supply Chain Management oversees the efficient flow of merchandise through distribution networks and fulfillment centers by resolving operational issues and analyzing data to enhance network performance. This role drives collaboration among stakeholders to meet sales, inventory, and profitability goals while identifying and addressing supply chain disruptions. The manager leads process improvement initiatives, supports compliance, and fosters strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams. By promoting continuous learning and operational excellence, this position ensures effective supply chain execution aligned with company standards and strategic objectives. The team is central to the SAMS supply chain, managing end-to-end processes with a strong understanding of Walmart’s operations and utilize them as a strong supporter and Partnership. Members are self-starters who excel in problem-solving and influencing cross-functional stakeholders. They collaborate closely to optimize merchandise flow, resolve escalations, and improve network efficiencies. The team leverages data analysis and root cause techniques to enhance supplier relationships and supply chain performance. Focused on continuous improvement, they drive process enhancements and support operational goals, ensuring effective communication and alignment across all supply chain partners to deliver consistent, high-quality results.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in supply chain management with a focus on optimizing merchandise flow and network efficiencies.
  • Strong leadership skills to manage teams, mentor associates, and foster a high-performing work environment.
  • Expertise in data analysis and root cause analysis to identify and resolve supply chain disruptions and exceptions.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with suppliers, transporters, and internal stakeholders to achieve operational goals.
  • Demonstrated success in process improvement initiatives and implementing cost reduction strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills to influence, motivate, and present recommendations to leadership and partners.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field and 2 years’ experience in logistics, distribution, transportation, or related area OR 4 years’ experience in logistics, distribution, transportation, or related area.
  • 2 years’ experience with Microsoft Office.
