Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• 6-8 years relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Requires specialized depth of expertise in own job discipline or field
• Recognized cross-functionally as an expert within the subject matter areas.
• Good oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with others in the immediate work unit and in related support areas.
• Able to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively.
• High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.
• Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products, SAP and other various software systems.
• High degree of professionalism, judgment and resourcefulness in the absence of formalized guidelines and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and monitor the annual fleet procurement budget to ensure alignment with business objectives. Track expenditures, evaluate financial performance, and implement cost-control measures to optimize vehicle acquisition and overall fleet investment.
• Lead the development and standardization of vehicle specifications in partnership with senior leadership, fleet management, operations, and safety teams. Ensure vehicle configurations meet operational requirements, safety standards, regulatory requirements, and total cost of ownership objectives.
• Establish and maintain strategic relationships with leasing providers, OEMs, upfitters, and other key suppliers. Monitor supplier performance against contractual commitments, service level expectations, and quality standards while proactively addressing issues to ensure continuity of supply and service.
• Lead negotiations for vehicle leases, purchases, and related fleet services with leasing companies and OEM suppliers. Secure favorable commercial terms, including pricing, delivery schedules, maintenance programs, warranty coverage, and service agreements, while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
• Ensure all fleet procurement activities comply with corporate policies, financial controls, legal requirements, and applicable industry regulations. Maintain accurate documentation and support audit readiness while promoting ethical and compliant procurement practices.
• Direct the complete fleet asset life cycle, including acquisition, deployment, utilization, maintenance coordination, replacement planning, and asset disposal. Develop long-term fleet strategies that maximize asset performance, reliability, and return on investment.
• Analyze fleet utilization, operating costs, lifecycle trends, and performance metrics to identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational improvement. Provide oversight of asset utilization, substitute vehicle deployment, and rental vehicle usage. Lead quarterly fleet performance reviews with fleet management and operational stakeholders to support data-driven planning, procurement, and optimization decisions.
