Simmons FoodsSiloam Springs, AR

About The Position

The Manager Supply Chain Analytics leads the Supply Chain Services Analyst team and drives the adoption of emerging analytical capabilities — AI, advanced analytics, automation, and modern Cloud ERP processes — across Simmons’ Supply Chain function. Partnering with leaders across Supply Chain (Procurement, Supply Planning, Warehousing & Transportation) and extended internal partners (Operations, Finance, IT/BI, and the Pet Food, Animal Nutrition, and Prepared Foods business units), this position delivers fact-based analysis and insight-led recommendations that accelerate Simmons’ Supply Chain strategy and roadmap of key initiatives. They will both lead a team and roll up their sleeves — building reporting and data products, modernizing how Supply Chain works with data, and developing the analytical capability of the people around them.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Supply Chain analytics, business analytics, data engineering, or a related field, including prior experience leading and developing analyst talent.
  • Demonstrated fluency with modern analytical platforms and a track record of adopting emerging capabilities (AI, advanced analytics, automation) in a practical, business-impact-driven way.
  • Experience working in or with Cloud-based ERP environments (Oracle Cloud preferred); prior experience with Oracle and/or JDE highly valued.
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, OneNote); visualization design and build experience in Tableau, Power BI, Oracle Analytics Cloud, or other reporting platforms.
  • Comfort with data mining, transformation, and modeling tools (Alteryx, SQL, Python and/or similar).
  • Process-driven mindset and ability to drive efficiency gains through automation and delivered sustainable, systemic-driven solutions adopted by the organization.
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) with the ability to translate complex analysis into clear recommendations for executive and operational audiences.
  • Ability to foster and develop cross-functional relationships and leverage those relationships to deliver business results.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Analytics, Business Administration, Operations, or other relevant discipline, or 4 years of related work experience.
  • Strong and demonstrated Excel, visualization (Tableau/Power BI/equivalent), and ERP experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Preference for protein, poultry, animal nutrition, pet food, and/or high-velocity consumer packaged goods background.
  • Designated Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) or equivalent, MBA, or relevant advanced certification in data, analytics, or AI.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Supply Chain Services Analyst team, setting direction, prioritizing the team’s work against the Supply Chain roadmap, and developing each team member as both a domain expert and an emerging-capability practitioner.
  • Coach the team in storytelling with data, modern analytical tools, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Build a high-performing team that combines deep Supply Chain knowledge with curiosity about new ways of working.
  • Provide regular feedback and coaching, support career growth, and partner with HR on talent planning, recruiting, and succession.
  • Develop and maintain analyses delivering insights across Supply Chain functions including Procurement, Planning, Inventory, Transportation, and Warehousing.
  • Analyze trends across raw supply cycles, inventory health (Days of Supply, slow movement, expiring and at-risk stock), supplier performance, and S&OP/MRP outputs — highlighting exceptions, surfacing actionable information, and communicating gaps to plan.
  • Support the periodic refresh and execution of supplier scorecards and accountability processes (RFP/RFQ support, GAP reporting, contract and cost-adherence reporting).
  • Deliver fact-based insights and recommendations from large data sets in a concise, compelling fashion suitable for both executive audiences and operational teams.
  • Serve as the key point of contact for the development and maintenance of new and current reporting and dashboards across Supply Chain.
  • Build, develop, and maintain data models, reporting systems, data automation, dashboards, and performance metrics that support key business decisions.
  • Function as a Supply Chain Center of Excellence — facilitating intake, vetting, prioritization, resource planning, and communication of the project and report backlog.
  • Participate in defining processes that effectively support Supply Chain-wide, holistic reporting needs across the Pet Food, Animal Nutrition, and Prepared Foods business units.
  • Lead the Supply Chain team’s adoption of emerging technologies including artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, automation, and Cloud-based ERP processes (e.g., Cloud Oracle for Procurement RFP work and downstream Supply Chain workflows).
  • Build personal and team fluency with these capabilities, identify where they create real value, and partner with IT/BI and business unit leadership to sequence rollout across Pet Food, Animal Nutrition, and Prepared Foods.
  • Champion practical, sustainable application of these capabilities — not technology for its own sake.
  • Accelerate continuous improvement and automation of reporting, dashboarding, and analytical workflows; identify data source gaps and lead the work to eliminate irregularities, incongruencies, and anomalies.
  • Implement best practices for data generation, storage, accuracy, and consumption within Supply Chain.
  • Work cross-functionally with IT, BI, and business unit operations partners to ensure accuracy and certification of source-of-record data used across the broader organization.
  • Develop the roadmap for new data source integration with internal and external partners to enable blended data sets with automation.
  • Ensure new processes align with the standardization focus of the organization and connect cleanly across the Pet Food, Animal Nutrition, and Prepared Foods business units.
  • Educate and train members across Supply Chain on data structure and tools to drive engagement in self-service analytics.
  • Partner with Senior Leadership and peers across Procurement, Planning, Operations, Finance, IT/BI, Sales, Marketing, and the Pet Food, Animal Nutrition, and Prepared Foods business units to ensure optimal visibility to Supply Chain performance and alignment with cross-functional needs.
  • Acts as an active clearinghouse of ideas, concerns, and activity on behalf of the Supply Chain team; champions the team and the function; and builds compelling, persuasive business cases to gain alignment, support, and resource allocation for the activities of the team.
  • Participates in the ongoing development, communication and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies; coordinates work to ensure best practices with all team members.
  • Attends appropriate team meetings.
  • As a member of the Team, fosters strong cohesiveness regarding all major issues, e.g., direction, annual plan, budget, policy changes, etc.
  • Accepts responsibility to quickly identify any areas that lack cohesiveness, bringing them to the attention of the team leader and working with the team in a supportive manner to resolve issues and actively look for ways, and reinforce actions needed, to achieve synergy possible within the larger organization.
  • Is familiar with Simmons’ established operating systems (e.g. quality, security, office environment, company policies, LEAN); understands the responsibility to maintain familiarity with the systems and this position’s role in support of these systems – including a consideration of the impact of individual actions on the systems and the responsibility to communicate concerns and improvement ideas.
  • Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.
