About The Position

The Manager, Subscription Marketing will support the execution and optimization of subscriber growth initiatives across acquisition and email marketing for The Daily Beast. Reporting to the Associate Director of Product Marketing, you will help increase the velocity of experimentation across the subscription funnel, executing marketing tests and initiatives across email, paywalls, landing pages, and promotional campaigns. This role will be deeply involved in email marketing operations and testing — building campaigns, launching experiments, and analyzing performance to drive subscriber growth. You will collaborate closely with the Subscriptions team and stakeholders cross-functionally to ensure marketing campaigns and experiments are executed effectively across channels. This role is ideal for a growth-oriented marketer who enjoys working hands-on in marketing platforms to execute campaigns and using experimentation to drive measurable improvements in subscription conversion and engagement.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in digital marketing, lifecycle marketing, email marketing, and/or growth marketing
  • Hands-on experience with email marketing platforms such as Sailthru, Braze, Iterable, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Experience executing marketing campaigns within marketing platforms
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance metrics
  • Experience with A/B testing and experimentation frameworks
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple tests and campaigns simultaneously
  • Proactive self-starter

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a subscription, digital media, newsletter, or direct-to-consumer business model strongly preferred
