About The Position

The Manager, Strategy and Business Analytics is a senior, portfolio-facing leader responsible for the analytics, financial planning, and strategic decision-support agenda across the Goldberg Portfolio within CORA Group. This position partners directly with the Portfolio CEO and two Group Leaders, working closely with BU Leaders to ensure rigorous performance measurement, thoughtful capital allocation, and the translation of strategic initiatives, including AI, into measurable P&L impact. The initial focus will be on improving forecasting rigor, operating metrics, and visibility into business performance across all portfolio companies, establishing portfolio-wide reporting standards and analytical processes to enhance decision-making, support capital allocation, and identify risks and growth opportunities earlier. Success will be measured by improved reporting consistency, enhanced forecasting accuracy, stronger operational visibility, and the creation of scalable analytics frameworks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field with an excellent academic record.
  • 6+ years of progressive experience in corporate strategy, business analytics, consulting, investment banking, or private equity, ideally in B2B SaaS or vertical market software.
  • Strong commercial judgment and proven ability to translate financial and operational data into clear, executive-ready recommendations.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills, including driver-based forecasting, scenario analysis, and sensitivity testing.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders, ask probing questions, and challenge the status quo constructively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to facilitate cross-BU conversations and present to executive audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Map forecast to actuals every month and quarter at the BU and portfolio level, owning variance analysis, calling out emerging risks early, and recommending corrective actions.
  • Own the bridge analysis across revenue, EBITDA, and cash flow, explaining the operational and financial drivers behind period-over-period and forecast variances.
  • Design, build, and maintain KPI dashboards, scorecards, and metric frameworks (ARR, NRR, Attrition) for BU Leaders.
  • Manage the IRR analysis across all major capital deployment decisions including AI investments, product migrations, and growth initiatives and track realized vs. underwritten returns.
  • Evaluate proposed investments and operational bets across the businesses, building defensible business cases that quantify expected return, payback, sensitivities, and downside risk.
  • Partner with the Portfolio CEO and Group Leaders on capital allocation decisions across the Portfolio.
  • Establish the framework for tracking the P&L impact of AI initiatives across each business covering both revenue uplift and cost-side impact.
  • Validate AI initiative outcomes against original business cases, providing an honest read on which AI bets are paying back, which need to be re-scoped, and which should be discontinued.
  • Partner with BU Leaders and Group Leaders to bring financial rigor to the AI Transformation Roadmap sizing opportunities, modeling ROI, and ensuring AI investments are sequenced and resourced appropriately.
  • Build and oversee a centralized analytics capability that serves all businesses, standardizing definitions, reporting, and data governance.
  • Deliver actionable insights to BU Presidents and Group Leaders on pricing, customer expansion, retention, product migration, and translating data into clear recommendations that drive growth and margin improvement.
