About The Position

This position is responsible for managing all activities of the Customer Thermal Solutions Strategic Sales and Account Management organization. This position ensures efficient and effective coordination of customer service issues between the Company and its strategic customers. This position also ensures the profitable growth and retention of the gas distribution customer base, introduction of new services and/or technologies to strategic customers and value-added services revenue. Contributes to the Company by continually improving the Company’s competitive position.

Requirements

  • Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal and management skills and strong business acumen.
  • Requires technical knowledge of gas distribution systems.
  • Requires knowledge of Company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to use PC desktop applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and E:Mail).
  • Proficient in use of Salesforce CRM
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Engineering, Business Administration, related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of ten (10) to twelve (12) years in marketing, sales or general business management
  • Responding to emergency situations to meet customers’ needs is part of every employee’s role. If employed, you will be given an Emergency Restoration assignment. This means you may be called to assist during an emergency outside of your normal responsibilities, work hours and location.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements the strategic plan for the department which addresses customer service, sales activities, gas marketing plan, corporate initiatives and process improvements.
  • Implements Company policies and procedures including line extensions, rate terms and conditions, pole attachments, load and revenue estimation, supplier terms and conditions.
  • Develops and implements Company policies and procedures to ensure high quality working relationships with gas customers.
  • Participates on, and leads, cross-functional teams designed to improve customer service, operational efficiency and profitable revenue growth and maintains effective working relationships with other departments such as Billing, Metering, Call Center, Corporate Relations, Engineering and Construction.
  • Works cross functionally to manage and improve all Customer Thermal Solutions sales customer service activities. These include new customer connections, corporate positioning, customer service, demand side management (DSM), new service offerings and other value-added services.
  • Selects, assigns, establishes goals, motivates, coaches and develops Customer Thermal Solutions Sales & Marketing employees.
