About The Position

As a leader, direct, supervise and ensure the management between negotiations and procurement operations for the correct planning, control, and implementation of initiatives (Health Safety, sustainability, innovation, others), guaranteeing compliance with processes, policies, control of inventory and purchasing indicators and the correct use and continuous improvement of agreements and contracts. Always providing accurate, relevant, and consolidated information for decision-making. Provides process support to all Procurement USA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor in Science, Supply Chain, Business
  • Knowledge of SAP, excell, word, power point
  • 15 + years Procurement, Supply Chain
  • 10 + years Experience in working with Operational departments
  • 15 + years Working in / with multifunctional teams
  • 10 + years Managing teams
  • In-depth knowledge of purchasing processes and policies
  • In-depth knowledge of negotiation processes and strategies

Responsibilities

  • Ensures and supervises compliance with the Procurement Model in all CEMEX areas with procurement functions in USA, based on defined policies, processes, and procedures, in order to provide common rules to provide transparency, purchase control, and visibility in purchasing and inventory management functions, optimizing the results of the company.
  • Supervises the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and tools based on the established policies to guarantee accurate information on inventories, disincorporation of assets, supplier evaluation, supply planning, contract management, and Market Place, respecting the Procurement standard Model and maximizing synergies in data consolidation, standard processes and technology platforms.
  • Ensures and supervises the continuous evolution of the Market Place, seeking to always have a better offer and reach more customers to maximize the results of CEMEX USA.
  • Ensures and supervises the proper functioning of the Market Place tool and the continuous improvement of the "digital" platforms for procurement by working with Global Procurement.
  • Ensures and supervises the communication strategy within Procurement, based on the priorities of the area and the tools available to improve and maintain a fluid and coordinated participation between the procurement personnel at the cement plants / regions / national functions and suppliers.
  • Ensures the evolution and implementation of the Supplier Sustainability and Health & Safety Programs in order to coordinate its adoption and application, guaranteeing the active participation of suppliers and negotiators dealing with suppliers.
  • Secures, plans and leads analysis of the spend to facilitate national negotiation strategies and identify opportunities to increase benefits.
  • Guarantee the supply planning of productive supplies (refractory brick, grinding media) and spare parts for the cement plants.
  • Oversees import documentation activities, ensuring complete, accurate, and compliant records to support efficient import operations.
