About The Position
The Manager, Specialty Compliance & Ethics (AI Governance) plays a critical role in shaping how AI is responsibly deployed across the organization. This role blends regulatory insight, operational execution, and cross functional partnership to ensure AI systems meet evolving compliance standards while enabling innovation. It’s an opportunity to help define governance in a fast moving, high impact space. About the AI Governance Team: The AI Governance team at Walmart oversees the enterprise AI compliance program, balancing responsible use with innovation. The team monitors emerging AI regulations, assesses risk, and develops governance frameworks that scale across the business. Working closely with technology, legal, privacy, and product teams, this role directly supports ethical standards and long term business strategy.
Requirements
- Experience in compliance, risk management, legal, or AI governance functions
- Strong understanding of AI technologies and regulatory requirements
- Ability to assess risk, support mitigation strategies, and communicate findings to leaders
- Proven cross‑functional collaboration and communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Master's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field
- Project Management Certification
- Supervisory experience
Responsibilities
- Conduct AI compliance assessments for new and evolving AI solutions
- Support new initiatives within established AI compliance programs and workflows
- Partner cross‑functionally with Legal and AI Security to provide clear compliance guidance
- Manage and triage AI compliance intake requests, ensuring timely, consistent responses
