About The Position

Leads Social Investments, major projects, initiatives, and philanthropic programs that strengthen the company's position as a trusted, connected, and committed community leader. Develops and executes Social Investment's strategic plan that compliments and enhances Customer and Community Relations efforts and the overall mission of the operating company (OpCo). Responsible for internal and external executive level engagement to manage company representation on Community Boards of Directors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Non-Profit Management or combination of education, training and work experience in a related field.
  • Five or more years of demonstrated work or foundation or volunteer experience in the community involvement area, with proven history of ability to quickly build interpersonal relationships, manage multiple projects simultaneously, communicate effectively at all levels of the organization and use influence to generate results.

Responsibilities

  • Leads Social Investment initiatives, including the day-to-day execution of Foundation grant partnerships in the OpCo community, focused on improving the community through three core focus areas: STEM Career Pathways, Environmental Sustainability, and Community Vitality.
  • Lead the annual plan on employee engagement and volunteerism across the OpCo territory, including the strategic placement of employees on nonprofit boards, pro bono program management, and monthly volunteer opportunities and demonstrations.
  • Manage both the internal and external strategy to execute on a successful Day of Service, including media partnerships, recruitment strategies for employees, retirees and customers, and nonprofit project development and management.
  • Oversight of the annual United Way workplace giving campaign. Work with employees at all levels to optimize their participation in the campaign.
  • Oversight of corporate sponsorship of key community events; ensure external stakeholders and executive awareness & participation as well as employee engagement for all events.
  • Proactively lead special projects that come up throughout the year, in partnership with key strategic stakeholders to ensure continuity across business areas and community partners.
  • Manage strategic internal and external relationships on behalf of the Social Investment team. Leverage strategic relationships to maximize impact and achieve business success.
  • Collaborates with Business Units across the OpCo jurisdiction to leverage company resources, support the achievement of area and corporate goals through employee community engagement, and provide community expertise and consultation.
