About The Position

The Manager, Site Merchandising, leads the design and optimization of site layouts and category displays to enhance customer engagement and drive traffic. This role leverages customer analytics and market insights to inform strategic decisions and improve site performance. Collaborating cross-functionally, the manager influences stakeholders through clear communication and data-driven recommendations. Responsibilities include managing product launches, monitoring campaign effectiveness, and ensuring alignment with business objectives. The position requires strong leadership to develop team capabilities while maintaining compliance with company standards and fostering a results-oriented environment focused on continuous improvement. Our team shapes the online experience members encounter the moment they visit Sam’s Club, focusing on increasing member engagement and shopping frequency. We integrate evergreen content with non-promotional campaigns, ensuring a seamless merchandising strategy that adapts to both consistent and peak periods. By building site-wide strategies, we deliver a unified story backed by data-driven insights. Collaborating across functions, we transform commercial goals into impactful merchandising that is dynamic, strategic, and grounded in customer analytics, market research, and category strategy to drive measurable results.

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in site merchandising, including site navigation, visual merchandising, and use of site tools such as Tempo and Tango.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in customer analytics, market research, and data-driven decision making to inform site and category strategies.
  • Effective communication and influencing abilities to present insights and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in developing and executing category strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Ability to manage product launches and promotional campaigns with detailed planning and evaluation.
  • Proficiency in reporting tools and web analytics to measure site performance and customer behavior.
  • Demonstrated leadership in mentoring and developing team members while ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Bachelor's degree in merchandising, visual design, business management, or related area and 3 years’ experience in eCommerce merchandising, UI/UX, interactive and visual design, business management, or related area OR 5 years’ experience in eCommerce merchandising, UI/UX, interactive and visual design, business management, or related area.

Responsibilities

  • Build and optimize site merchandising for assigned departments by designing traffic plans, category displays, and product layouts to enhance customer engagement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to drive customer behavior through search results and navigation strategies.
  • Analyze customer insights and market data to recommend site changes and improve performance.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, presenting data-driven recommendations and influencing decisions.
  • Manage campaign launches, coordinating resources and evaluating promotional success.
  • Utilize web analytics and SEO strategies to enhance site structure and content relevance.
  • Lead and develop team members, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
