About The Position

Skeena Gold + Silver Limited is a Canadian mining company focused on revitalizing the Eskay Creek gold-silver mine in northwest British Columbia. The company is committed to industry leadership in reconciliation, diversity, and inclusion, working collaboratively with Indigenous partners. As a Site Maintenance Manager, you will oversee all site maintenance activities and facility upgrades, lead site-based teams and contractors, and ensure safety regulations and health and safety procedures are implemented. This role is a key part of the Site Leadership Team, responsible for overall site safety and culture. You will contribute to operating safely, protecting the environment, positively impacting local communities, and building a state-of-the-art mine.

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, Trades, Facilities Management, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
  • Must possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s License
  • 7–10+ years of progressive maintenance experience in mining, heavy industrial, energy, remote operations, or related sectors.
  • 5+ years in a supervisory or management role leading multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Direct experience working in remote camp environments or fly-in/fly-out project sites.
  • Strong knowledge of camp facilities, utilities, generators, water/wastewater systems, and site infrastructure.
  • Experience managing contractors, vendors, and service providers.
  • Proven commitment to health, safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to build collaborative, cross-cultural teams.
  • Proficiency with maintenance planning, scheduling, and reporting.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee a team of staff and contractors to deliver services for the Eskay Creek mine site.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to direct reports to support growth and development, driving performance excellence.
  • Provide regular coaching, feedback, and recognition to team members.
  • Promote team building at all levels, and a respectful cross-cultural work environment.
  • Encourage a collaborative environment between all team members.
  • Ensure camp infrastructure is properly maintained, and issues are resolved promptly.
  • Ensure all site facilities are inspected, serviced, and maintained to a regular schedule.
  • Undertake planned property inspections for all sites.
  • Ensure winterization routes are completed for each season as required.
  • Review existing operations regularly to reduce costs and improve operational standards.
  • Operate permanent plants including generators, wastewater treatment, potable water treatment, incinerators, and contact water treatment.
  • Ensure all Critical Environment (CEM) requirements are met.
  • Ensure all planned maintenance activities are completed as per scheduled programs.
  • Ensure access roads are properly maintained.
  • Ensure staff understand the quality of maintenance required.
  • Manage vendors including implementing access control and security protocols.
  • Ensure procedures are followed by all sub-contractors delivering services.
  • Comply with health and safety guidelines, policies, and site rules.
  • Ensure escalation procedures and incident reporting protocols are implemented and maintained.
  • Inform Senior Management of any Safety or Environmental issues without undue delay.
  • Monitor contract performance measures to ensure consistent compliance.
  • Provide senior management with weekly reports covering safety, maintenance, security, and operating issues.
  • Assist with all site-related logistics.
  • Assist with all site waste management systems.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Senior Construction Managers, Site Managers, Vendors, and external Regulators.
  • Communicate effectively to ensure smooth operations across all teams.
  • Perform all other duties as required by the company.
