About The Position

Celestica seeks a results-oriented Manager, Physical Security & Security Technology – Texas to serve as the overall security leader and single point of contact for all physical security operations, asset protection, and emergency management across Celestica’s Texas manufacturing sites and site expansions. First and foremost a security operational leader, this role is directly responsible for site security, guard force management, business continuity, emergency response, and incident investigations. Simultaneously, this role drives the regional strategy, architecture, and deployment of physical security technologies (access control, geofencing, Lenel systems, CCTV/VMS) to ensure robust site protection, cybersecurity alignment, and operational compliance.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated leadership in emergency planning, crisis management, guard force management, and conducting security investigations.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise physical security systems (specifically Lenel), IP video management systems (VMS), CCTV, mobile access, geofencing, and network integration.
  • Experience managing regional capital/operational security budgets, writing RFQs/SOWs, and managing system integrators.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% regionally within Texas.
  • Crisis Leadership: Ability to make critical decisions, manage security incidents, and lead emergency response under high-pressure conditions.
  • Cross-Functional Communication: Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of briefing executive stakeholders, leading site teams, and partnering with IT, Legal, and HR.
  • Forward-Thinking Tech Strategy: Strong understanding of emerging security technologies, including cloud integration, mobile credentials, geofencing, and AI analytics.
  • Problem Solving: Exceptional analytical, investigative, and technical system troubleshooting capabilities.
  • 8+ years of progressive physical security management experience, with a proven track record leading both operational site security and security technology projects in manufacturing, high-tech, or industrial environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Engineering, IT, or a related field (equivalent practical experience considered).

Nice To Haves

  • Industry certifications such as ASIS CPP (Certified Protection Professional), PSP (Physical Security Professional), or platform-specific certifications (Lenel) are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the overall lead for site physical security, asset protection, and personnel safety across all Texas facilities.
  • Oversee day-to-day security operations and direct/indirect supervision of Texas-based security personnel and third-party contracted guard forces, including statement of work (SOW) management and Post Orders.
  • Lead Texas Business Continuity Planning (BCP), emergency management, tabletop exercises, and real-time threat response to mitigate risks to personnel and assets.
  • Manage the intake, investigation, and resolution of local security incidents, ethics complaints, theft, and safety breaches, ensuring standardized incident reporting and documentation.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with local Texas Law Enforcement, emergency services, Customs, and border agencies to maintain CTPAT compliance and address local security threats.
  • Lead customer physical security assessments, internal audits, and external compliance reviews (e.g., KPMG, PASA assessments) for Texas sites, driving closure on all identified gap analysis action items.
  • Lead the end-to-end execution of new access control, geofencing, intrusion detection, and VMS/CCTV architectures across Texas operations.
  • Develop and maintain the Texas Security Technology Strategy and multi-year hardware/software roadmaps to support site fit-ups, modernizations, and expansion projects.
  • Provide technical direction to embed "Security by Design" into capital projects, facility layouts, and new construction across Texas locations.
  • Maintain technical standards for enterprise security platforms (e.g., Lenel) and partner with Global IT and Cybersecurity teams to ensure network compliance and platform integrity.
  • Review engineering drawings, physical layouts, and integrator proposals to ensure compliance with corporate security standards and operational requirements.
  • Manage the annual Texas physical security operational and capital budgets (OpEx/CapEx), including purchase orders, vendor SOWs, and RFQs.
  • Manage relationships and performance for local security technology integrators, contractors, equipment manufacturers, and service providers.
  • Track and report Texas security KPIs—including incident counts/financial impact, system uptime, and vendor/guard performance—identifying operational efficiency improvements.
