About The Position

Responsible for security operations at specified Home Depot facilities and for managing the daily operations of a team of Corporate Security professionals. The role resolves operational issues, develops personnel, promotes company and departmental values, and ensures individual and team goals are met or exceeded. It supports all aspects of the Corporate Security function, including Non-Product Facility Security, Executive/Event Security, Investigations, and International Security.

Requirements

• Previous supervisory experience.
• Previous Security or Law Enforcement experience.
• At least 10 years of work experience.
• Knowledge of Corporate Security at The Home Depot or a similar major company, or experience with a prior law enforcement agency.
• Knowledge of facility management as it relates to security and access control.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing and to interact and communicate effectively with Home Depot associates.
• Analytical skills, including the ability to identify and analyze multiple components of a problem and draw appropriate conclusions from available information.
• Ability to use quantitative skills to help drive projects and tactical thinking to support departmental strategic goals.
• Knowledge of physical security.
• Project management experience, including major events such as shareholder meetings or board of directors meetings.
• Supervisory skills.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Education typically acquired through completion of a high school diploma and/or GED.

Nice To Haves

• EMT or First Responder certification.
• Executive Protection experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Non-Product Facility Security (30%).
• Supervise assigned Home Depot Security Staff (30%).
• Support Executive and Event Security (15%).
• Support the Investigations Team (15%).
• Support the International Security Program (10%).
• Resolve operational issues and develop personnel.
• Promote company and departmental values and ensure individual and team goals are met or exceeded.
• Provide support across the Corporate Security function.
