About The Position

Greenhouse is looking for a Manager, Security Engineering to join our team! As the Manager, Security Engineering, you’ll lead a team of Product and Corporate Security Engineers and own the Product and Corporate Security strategy and roadmaps. You’ll act as a security engineering point of contact for stakeholders and drive responsible and secure AI adoption across security engineering workflows.

Requirements

  • Experience managing and developing security engineers, with a track record of setting direction and building high-performing teams
  • Significant security engineering experience in a fast-paced technology or B2B SaaS company
  • Experience using AI to improve security or engineering workflows, along with the judgment to help teams adopt it responsibly
  • Experience setting strategy and delivering security programs in partnership with Engineering, Product, IT, or other technical teams
  • Product Security experience, including embedding security into product and engineering lifecycles
  • Application Security and security architecture experience
  • Experience securing cloud environments running in AWS and Kubernetes
  • Experience with modern IAM and zero-trust security, including platforms and protocols such as Okta, OpenID Connect, and SAML
  • Experience with security operations, including detection, response, or incident management
  • Strong judgment, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to balance customer trust, business context, and engineering velocity

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategy and roadmap development across our distinct Product Security and Corporate Security teams, aligning priorities to company and customer needs
  • Build an AI-native security engineering team by identifying high-value uses of AI and agentic workflows across security assessments, triage, patching, investigations, response, documentation, and self-service
  • Strengthen the Security Partner model and help product and engineering teams build secure-by-default products and services
  • Improve vulnerability management, penetration testing, bug bounty operations, product incident response, and defenses against abuse and adversarial traffic
  • Lead Corporate Security initiatives across identity and access management, endpoints, email, business systems, detection, and response
  • Establish responsible AI practices, including non-human identity, appropriate data handling, access boundaries, human oversight, evaluation, and auditability
  • Create repeatable processes, automation, paved roads, and self-service capabilities that make secure decisions easier for engineers and employees
  • Set clear goals, operating rhythms, and measures of success while continuously improving how both teams work
  • Coach and mentor security engineers, support their growth, and build a culture of ownership, curiosity, inclusion, and continuous learning
  • Represent Security Engineering to R&D, IT, Legal, Compliance, Information Security, and leadership, translating business risk into prioritized work
