Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • Minimum of 12 years of professional experience in project management, contract management, engineering processes of related experience or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
  • Expert knowledge of program and portfolio management principles.
  • Ability to set strategy and vision for medium to large size organization.
  • Expertise in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across multiple projects.
  • Ability to align projects with strategic objectives.
  • Understanding of financial metrics, ROI and business case development.
  • Understanding of how to lead and support organizational change initiatives.
  • Coaching and mentoring project managers.
  • Building high-performing teams and fostering collaboration.
  • Navigating competing interests and resolving disputes effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees and directs a team of trained and qualified Project Managers to manage sector projects.
  • Ensures consistent implementation of and compliance with PM related project policies, procedures and practices.
  • Manages proposal development, contract negotiations, project planning and implementation for highly complex sector projects from tendering to award to project execution and closeout.
  • Monitors and maintains project control and scheduling standards to ensure efficient project support.
  • Plans and implements cost improvement programs to attain business, customer, and process objectives.
  • Works with senior mgmt. to develop/maintain PM forecasts.
  • Reviews major project contracts and purchase orders for terms and conditions of the contract including project deliverables, schedule milestones, and commitments.
