About The Position

The Manager, Seacrest Studio oversees the daily operations, creative programming, and partnerships of the hospital’s Seacrest Studios broadcast media center. This position provides strategic direction, leadership, and operational management for all aspects of studio activity — including live and recorded broadcasts, multimedia content creation, and patient-centered entertainment. The Manager ensures that programming is safe, developmentally appropriate, and engaging for pediatric patients and families while aligning with the missions of both the hospital and the Ryan Seacrest Foundation. The role supervises staff, interns, and volunteers; manages budgets and resources; and serves as the studio’s public ambassador to community partners, donors, and celebrity guests.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Broadcasting, Recording Arts, Journalism, Communications, Media Production, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in multimedia production, broadcast journalism, or related field.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills; ability to motivate creative teams and foster collaboration.
  • Excellent on-air hosting, interviewing, and storytelling abilities.
  • Strong verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with patients, families, staff, and community partners.
  • Understanding of child development and pediatric-appropriate programming.
  • Sound judgment, flexibility, and adaptability under pressure.
  • Financial acumen for managing budgets and resources effectively.
  • High emotional intelligence and professionalism in a hospital environment.

Responsibilities

  • Directs and manages daily Seacrest Studio operations and broadcast programming to achieve patient experience and organizational goals.
  • Provides leadership and supervision to studio staff, student interns, and volunteers; manages recruitment, onboarding, performance feedback, and growth opportunities.
  • Ensures compliance with hospital policies, The Joint Commission standards, and Ryan Seacrest Foundation guidelines.
  • Leads the development, implementation, and evaluation of all broadcast and multimedia content to ensure it is consistent, relevant, safe, and therapeutic for the pediatric population.
  • Develops studio budgets and monitors expenditures; manages fiscal resources.
  • Ensures a consistent and professional creative standard that reflects the hospital’s mission and Seacrest Studios brand identity.
  • Collaborates with Child Life, Music Therapy, Art Therapy, and Education departments to produce developmentally appropriate, therapeutic content.
  • Develops performance metrics and evaluation tools for programming success and audience engagement.
  • Oversees and engages in all interview prep and hosting for special guests on-air, including celebrities.
  • Serves as on camera host, reporter, and talent for daily shows, interviews, game segments, and musical performances.
  • Serves as the studio’s public-facing ambassador, welcoming donors, celebrities, and community guests during visits, broadcasts, and hospital tours.
  • Acts as primary liaison between the hospital and the Ryan Seacrest Foundation; submits reports and attends national foundation meetings and educational summits.
  • Builds partnerships with local media, nonprofits, and schools to enhance programming, visibility, and internship opportunities.
  • Collaborates with hospital marketing, PR, and development teams to produce content supporting campaigns and donor recognition.
  • Represents the studio at internal and external events; may speak publicly about Seacrest Studio initiatives, recruitment, or community impact.
  • Establishes long-term goals for studio programming, outreach, and growth in alignment with hospital and Foundation objectives.
  • Develops and updates policies, procedures, and safety protocols to ensure a professional, efficient, and inclusive environment.
  • Demonstrates adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing both planned and spontaneous programming with professionalism.
  • Track and document participation, program metrics, and outcomes in support of departmental goals and KPIs.
